Our Team

  • Marcelino Cardoza | Owner

Marc brings 17 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army into the world of custom framing, where discipline, precision, and leadership guide his craft. An artist himself, he understands the importance of protecting and elevating every piece, whether it’s a cherished heirloom or a large-scale installation. His framing work is recognized for its blend of precision and artistry, earning trust from both individual clients and organizations across the region. Deeply connected to the El Paso community, Marc is known for his approachable teaching style—leading in-house classes and supporting local art events that bring people together. Beyond the studio, his greatest joy is family. Together with his wife, he’s raising four children and sharing his love of the arts by introducing them to exhibitions, openings, and cultural events across the city.

  • Tina-Marie Hew Len | Co-Owner

What began as a personal hobby—refreshing and reframing artwork—has grown into Tina-Marie’s signature approach: helping people fall back in love with the art they already own. She consults with clients on-site to reimagine collections, update favorite pieces with fresh designs, or source the one missing artwork to complete a vision. With years of leadership experience in El Paso’s non-profit and healthcare communities, Tina-Marie is deeply connected to the people and organizations that shape the region. She brings that same sense of care and commitment to every project—whether for a home, hospital, dealership, or restaurant. A connector at heart, she also curates and sells original art, ensuring clients have access to pieces that truly resonate. Outside the studio, Tina-Marie and her husband are often on the road—traveling, chasing live music, and finding inspiration to bring back into the spaces she designs.

  • Aaron Silva | Co-Owner

Aaron’s path to framing is as diverse as his skills. After graduating from culinary school and running his own bakery in Arizona, he discovered a second career in the art world, where he now brings over 13 years of experience. At District Frame & Art Co., Aaron is the resident expert in advanced framing machinery—especially the Valiani computerized cutter—which allows him to bring even the most intricate client ideas to life. He thrives on blending creativity with precision, producing designs that stand out for their craftsmanship and detail. He also enjoys sharing his technical knowledge with clients and peers, making the framing process approachable and collaborative. Rooted in both creativity and community, he’s passionate about supporting local arts while making custom framing accessible and exciting. Outside the workshop, Aaron is a second-degree black belt Judo instructor, an avid hockey and football fan, and a lifelong music enthusiast who draws inspiration from every rhythm and lyric.
